COVID-19 Recovery Grant
To help small businesses bounce back, the NSW state government have a grant available for eligible small businesses.
The grant is smaller this time around, starting from $500 up to $3000. The funds are to be used for marketing and advertising purposes, or setting up your commercial premises so that it is social distancing compliant. For example, fit outs like screens, staff training and counselling, cleaning products and distancing stickers etc.
To be eligible for this, you have to have a small business or a non for profit.
You have to have an ABN registered within New South Wales. S
You have to have a turnover of at least $75,000. You will be able to prove this through your BAS statements.
You must have reported a payroll of less than $900,000.
Your small business has to be within the highly impacted industry that has been affected by the public health order.
You’ve experienced the 30% decline in your business between March and July compared to the equivalent time last year.
So what do you need to actually apply? You need to have a Services NSW account. You need to provide them with identification, confirm that you have a valid ABN number, provide them with your business banking number and also provide them with the latest BAS statements.

Please note that the process will not let you save and resume at a later date, so you have to complete it in full, in one session. Provide them with all the information and all the supporting documents.
They will review it, and within 5 to 7 working days they’ll give you an answer and once successful, you’ll get the funds deposited into your account.
